About Us

CRYPTOIDS: War for the Green Planet is an original line of 1/12 scale action figures pulled straight from the world's most legendary unsolved mysteries (and a few villains) locked in a near-future battle for the soul of Earth itself.
This isn't just another toy line. It's a love letter to the golden age of action figures, with vintage-style cardbacks, premium articulation, glow-in-the-dark variants, and built by people who never stopped flipping pegs at the toy aisle.
Designed by collectors, for collectors. Cryptoids blends retro aesthetics with modern engineering and a sprawling original mythology we're calling the Cryptoid Universe; connected world of toys, lore, and community that's just getting started.
WHERE IT ALL STARTED: YHS PODCAST
Cryptoids was dreamed up by the creative team behind Yes Have Some (YHS) Podcast, the Atlanta-based weekly show that's spent years at the heart of Ghostbusters fandom and toy collecting culture. If you know YHS, you know the crew:
- Craig Goldberg — Host and Producer. Co-author of The Real Ghostbusters: A Visual History (Dark Horse Books) and a longtime voice in the Ghostbusters fan community.
- Abigail Gardner — Host and Writer. The narrative engine of YHS, Abbey brings the storytelling chops, the brand voice, and the world-building instincts that turn a cool sculpt into a character you actually care about.
- Jacob Walsh — Host and Toy Designer. The collector's collector who pulls no punches. Jacob's knowledge of action figure history, strong opinions on what works, what flops, and why, help shape every design decision that goes into a Cryptoids figure.
Together, they host YHS Podcast and its companion show Toy Anxiety, a weekly deep-dive on everything from Star Wars and Marvel Legends to NECA, Super7, and beyond.
WHY CRYPTOIDS?
Because the collector community is hungry for something that isn't a reboot, a relaunch, or a licensed cash-grab. Because folklore deserves better than B-movie cameos. And because when our Kickstarter blew past $150K in under 48 hours, you told us — loud and clear — that you were ready for it too.
We're building the toy line we always wanted on the shelf. Welcome to the war for the Green Planet. Pick a side.
